At Infusion Home Design we love nothing more than to take a property that isn’t living up to its potential and make it shine. We study current conditions, bring possibilities and budget in line, and work to transform a place from Beast to Beauty.
We felt that the house had “good bones”. The structure and living space made sense, but Time had taken a nasty toll on both freshness and style.
Cynthia knew, as an experienced realtor, that the curb appeal had to be fixed. Old windows were replaced with new double glazed ones, stucco was repaired, modern light sconces were installed, plants and planters were replaced, and a fresh coat of colors completed the outer transformation.
Inside, the kitchen was the most spectacular change. Though the layout stayed the same, Cynthia and the team transformed the look and feel of the kitchen (and saved money) by keeping and renovating the cupboards. They replaced wall and countertop tiling, chose new laminate flooring that would stand up to sandy feet, replaced out of date windows and appliances, and added modern lighting.
You will notice the power of color in all of IHD’s work. Cynthia is an expert colorist and can multiply the effects of staging choices by using the right color combinations. (Curious about color? Start with this article: Why Color Matters)
All of these decisions were calculated and made with owner-investment and return in mind. Our job was to use the budget in the best possible way, to attract and please renters, and create a profitable project for our client.
Renovation projects are not common for us, but they require the same skills and considerations we apply to real estate staging. Do you need help preparing your property? Contact us today. We stage, we list, we sell!
